Ventura County
Launches REVERSE 911® Emergency
Notification Technology
Temecula, CA — In June
2008, Ventura County, California launched
Reverse 911®, an emergency
notification technology solution to ensure
fast and accurate communication in times of
crisis. Reverse 911®, a PlantCML
suite of solutions, will ultimately enhance
Ventura County’s crisis response
capabilities and promote the safety and
security of their residents.
Reverse 911®
automates the calling process, enabling
public safety organizations to send voice
and text messages to locals and first
responders in minutes. Alerts may be
delivered to residents in the cities of
Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard,
Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, and the
unincorporated areas of Ventura County for
reasons such as an evacuation order, a boil
water decree or notice of a hazardous
material spill.
Organizations throughout
the U.S. depend daily on the REVERSE 911®
suite of emergency notification solutions
from industry leader PlantCML. Whether it’s
being used to send a severe weather alert or
a missing child report, emergency
notification allows the user to quickly and
accurately contact a wide audience during a
time of need. It also allows them to receive
the feedback necessary for emergency
response and recovery.
