St. Joseph Communications Center to Install New 9-1-1 Technology

Temecula, CA — St. Joseph Communications Center in St. Joseph, Missouri, recently purchased an Internet Protocol (IP)-based call processing solution in order to better serve the emergency needs of local residents.

The new system, Sentinel® Patriot®, was developed by PlantCML, North America’s leader in mission-critical communications and response. This IP-based solution will allow the St. Joseph Communications Center to efficiently process calls, better identify caller locations and quickly dispatch emergency personnel throughout the region. St. Joseph is the first in the area to purchase this Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) technology.

Sentinel® Patriot® features fault-tolerant redundancy, remote call handling, Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and a number of other robust features designed to ensure greater speed and reliability for today’s progressive call centers.

The new system is scheduled for installation in August 2008.
