Ogle County Deploys REVERSE 911® to Strengthen Crisis Response, Public Safety

Temecula, CA, August 7, 2008 — The 50,000+ residents in Ogle County, Illinois, can now feel safer thanks to the new REVERSE 911® system.   Launched in June 2008, it allows officials to quickly and accurately communicate during emergency situations.  REVERSE 911® is the premier suite of emergency notification solutions from industry leader PlantCML.

REVERSE 911® automates the entire notification process, enabling public safety organizations to send voice and text messages to specific geographic regions and/or key groups, such as first responders or volunteers. Information or potentially life-saving instruction is delivered using every possible means, including phone, pager, cell and email. Alerts may be delivered for reasons such as natural disasters, evacuations, missing persons, escaped felons, water contaminations and hazardous materials incidents.

With the implementation of this technology, Ogle County is now a REVERSE 911® Certified Location, and more importantly, a safer, more informed community.
