PlantCML Introduces New NG9-1-1 Product Suite
Industry Leader's New IP-Capable Solutions Help PSAPs Meet Today's Needs, Prepare for Future

Temecula, CA — PlantCML, North America’s leader in mission-critical communications and response, introduces three new Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) solutions for public safety. 

The new product suite includes Orion™ Vela™, Aurora™, and Orion™ Aries™.  These solutions are Internet Protocol (IP)-capable, designed to meet the current call-taking and dispatching needs of 9-1-1 call centers, while also providing an open path for future transition into a total IP-based call center. 

“Our industry is embarking on a new era with more and more call centers embracing NextGen functionality every day,” said Tim Fuller, president of PlantCML.  “This cannot be a sudden change, but rather a steady migration in which each center will start this new chapter at its own pace.  Our new product suite can help Public Safety Answering Points  (PSAPs) with the needs they have today while also helping them prepare for tomorrow.”

The new NG9-1-1 suite of solutions provides PSAPs with the foundation for future processing of non-traditional “calls”, integration of voice, text and data, as well as real-time resiliency, geodiversity, collaboration and interoperability.

  • Orion™ Aries™ (Automated Resource Incident and Event Solution) is a robust Incident Management System.  Like its predecessor, ORION™ CADStar, this map-centric application delivers data directly to an intuitive user interface where call takers can track resources, view premise history and access supplemental information.  It provides duplicate call detection, multiple incident display and browser-based reporting and can be deployed with existing PlantCML call-taking platforms.
     

  • Aurora™ is a true NextGen Management Information System providing flexible, comprehensive reporting to call center management.   The application can integrate seamlessly with new media, such as email and text messages and provides the analytics necessary to enhance operational efficiency.
     

  • Orion™ Vela™ is an advanced mapping application displaying the location of wireless and wireline calls, supplying call-takers with pertinent information including comprehensive driving directions and routing.  The application allows users to easily navigate maps, store previous views for quick recall and provide hyperlinks to documents and details associated with the caller’s location. 

Depending on a call center’s specific needs, these solutions can be purchased separately or as part of a complete suite.
